Common questions

Does Soulnote require an account?

No. The current version does not include login or account sync.

Where are saved notes stored?

Saved notes are stored locally on your device using Apple system storage.

Can I delete saved notes?

Yes. Open History, tap the delete button on a saved note, and confirm deletion.

Does Soulnote use network services?

Soulnote is local-first by default. AI polishing requires BYOK setup. If you enable BYOK AI polishing, note content is sent to the third-party AI service you choose, using the API key stored on your device. If BYOK is not configured, Soulnote does not send note content off device.

Can I turn off BYOK AI polishing?

Yes. You can turn it off in the app settings. Turning it off stops future AI polishing requests. Your provider API key is stored in the iOS Keychain and is sent only to the selected provider as request authorization.
